Velimir is a 30-year-old karateka, born in Kranj, Slovenia on the odd day of February 29th, 1988, before moving to his home country Serbia. He started karate at age 12 and has trained daily ever since. Although his passion is mainly for karate, he also enjoys practicing other martial arts, especially stand-up styles. He has trained and competed alongside many elite clubs throughout Europe. For many years he has worked as a karate and fitness coach. In 2015, he lived in the United Arab Emirates, training Abu Dhabi Police. Even that didn’t stop him from helping his friends on the Serbian National Team and was honored to go and compete alongside his countrymen at the 2016 World Championships.
